At Deakin, most undergraduate courses have Commonwealth Supported Places so most of your tuition is covered. Your student contribution can be paid with a HECS-HELP loan that you don’t pay until after you graduate and are earning a salary. The individual course pages have all the details.

Deakin offers many scholarships for undergraduate students. Some are based on need; some are based on prior achievement. These can help reduce the cost of your undergraduate course.

Most undergraduate degrees require three years of full-time study or the part-time equivalent. There are some exceptions. You can find the duration of the course on the course page.

That’s called a double degree. This can improve your career outcomes significantly while taking less time. It also means you don’t have to choose between two things you are really interested in.

The ATAR for each course is published on the course page. We want all talented students to chase their dreams. If you don’t achieve that ATAR, there are options. The Deakin Guaranteed ATAR and access programs for Indigenous, rural and regional students are just some of the ways we make Deakin accessible to a diverse student body.

Yes. Deakin Uni Ready is a free, online pathway program designed for students who don't yet meet standard entry requirements. Build the academic skills and confidence you need, and on completion you can apply for one of 11 undergraduate degrees across arts, health, science and business.

The international version of every course page has a useful tool that compares your high school scoring system to the Australian ATAR. The page also provides information about English language requirements for the course.
